Margaret J. Baker was born on October 12, 1942, in Virginia, to Russell and Regina (Cheeks) Baker. In 1964, she was united in marriage to Richard Lamb, in Maryland. They resided in Maryland until they moved to Marshalltown in 1985. Margaret was a member of both Faith Open Bible Church and New Life United Pentecostal in Marshalltown.
