Thursday

Anthony McGrew, of Melbourne, made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. A parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by his parole officer as her calendar permits. McGrew is being without bond.

Stephen Hser, 402 E. Boone St. Apt. #3, made an initial appearance through a Burmese interpreter on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Sept. 13 or in lieu of the fine and surcharge he may do 12 hours of community service plus pay the court costs to be completed by Dec. 15.

Anthony Wayne Frederick, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-third offense charge and a driving while revoked charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 3. The court ordered Frederick to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date. Frederick was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 4 p.m. today and sign a pre-trial release agreement.

Ron Daniel, 107 E. Lincoln St., made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, plus restitution if applicable.

Issaiah Thomas Roberts, 512 S. Sixth St., made an initial appearance on a serious domestic assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 3. The court ordered Roberts to be photographed and fingerprinted on this case. It was also ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition, Roberts is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. Roberts was released on his own recognizance. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Ramona Soto, 305 N. Sixth St., made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 3. Soto was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered her to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Dustin Merschbrock, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge, a possession of marijuana-second offense charge and a failure to obey a stop sign charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 3. Merschbrock was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered him to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Aaron John Frank, 919 Stegman Blvd., made an initial appearance on a forgery charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Sept. 3. Frank was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 4 p.m. today and sign a pre-trial agreement.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1108 Iowa Ave., two to 910 E. Olive St., 1002 W. Boone St., 305 S. 12th St., 409 N. 15th Ave. and 213 Pine St.

Aug. 9

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call to 10 N. 11th Ave. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 911 S. First Ave., 106 S. Third Ave., 206 Nicholas Drive, 415 N. Third St., 207 W. Linn St. and on South Third Avenue.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call to 2907 S. Sixth St.

Aug. 11

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 1 W. Grant St., 1007 S. Center St. and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 902 W. Main St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 802 S. Third Ave., two fire calls to 1 E. Main St., and 803 Bromley St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 902 S. Center St., 206 Nicholas Drive and 1211 W. State St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded a call to 2500 S. Center St. and 1402 S. 17th Ave. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1502 Woodbury St., 401 Nicholas Drive, 211 Pine St., 707 E. Boone St., 207 E. Main St. and 1007 11th Ave.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a call to 1402 S. 17th Ave., a fire call to 108 1/2 S. Third St. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 202 N. Second Ave., 211 W. Church St., 2 Columbus Drive, 2802 S. Center St., 304 N. Seventh St. and 209 W. Ferner St.

Arrests
