Man arrested after allegedly stabbing his mother

Tyler Manning Wilson, 18, told police that he "just snapped" Saturday when he allegedly stabbed his mother. Wilson was arguing with his mother, with whom he lives, when he allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and attempted to stab her in the throat. The knife nicked the top of the woman's head.

Wilson is charged with aggravated domestic assault, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Candace Rae Klaas, address unknown, made an initial appearance on four counts of a probation revocation action, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a possession of burglary tools charge and a interference with official acts charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle all her cases. On the four probation revocation charges the District Court will schedule the probation revocation hearing as its docket permits. Bond on these charges is $40,000 cash only on each probation revocation. A preliminary hearing was set for 1 p.m. on Aug. 29 for the possession of burglar tools and drug paraphernalia and the interference with official acts. Bond on these charges is $2,000 cash only.

Manuel Castillo, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-second degree charge and a driving under suspension charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. Castillo was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 4 p.m. today and sign a pre-trial release agreement.

Lance Walker, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a bond company filing to revoke bond and a failure to appear at a preliminary hearing charge. Cynthia Weber-Blair will continue as counsel. Walker has a jury trial scheduled for Sept. 12 with a pre-trial conference on Sept. 6. The preliminary hearing is rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 29. An arraignment will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only on all three bond revocations. The court ordered that Walker be photographed and fingerprinted before release from custody.

Pudoli Mendoza Gonzalez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-second offense charge and a driving while revoked charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. Mendoza-Gonzalez was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that he obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Marcos Eduardo Perez Sanchez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge and a child endangerment charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. Perez Sanchez was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition Perez Sanchez is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Michael Ray McDowell, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. McDowell was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered that he complete a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

The court ordered that if Castellanos owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition he is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only on each charge. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Cory Maldonado, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a extradition request from the State of Florida. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The extradition hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 20. Bond is set at $20,000 cash only.

Chad Koch, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a open container charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 17 in Magistrate Court.

On Saturday, Phyllis Jean Kroener, 908 E. Main St. (Rear), reported the theft of 80 Methadone pills from her residence. Estiamted value of loss was $100.

On Friday, Mike Peters, 3 W. Webster St., reported the theft of a Ruger SR9 pistol from his residence. Estimaed value of loss was $500.

Accidents

On Saturday, Aug. 17, a car driven by Dora L. Sorensen, of Lincoln, Neb., was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a coyote that ran in front of the car. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Sorensen car was estimated at $2,000.
