AMES - A week after Iowa State University announced that its allotment of season tickets for the upcoming football season had been sold out, the Cyclones got more good news Thursday.
The season opener against Northern Iowa on Aug. 31 also will be a sell out. There also are no tickets available for the Iowa game at Jack Trice Stadium on Sept. 14 and a limited number of tickets remain for Texas, Oklahoma State, TCU and Kansas later this season.
The school also announced that approximately 200 three-game "mini-packs" for Oklahoma State, TCU and Kansas remain. Those reserved seats are from tickets returned by the opponents and the mini-packs cost $90.
For fans who missed out on purchasing tickets to the season opener against the Panthers, it will be televised live on Cyclones.tv or on Mediacom Connections.
The UNI-Iowa State matchup has been known to draw large crowds in the past with three of the last four meetings between the two teams producing near-record attendance (2007-56,795; 2006 - 55,518; 2011 - 54,672).
