Second grader a joy to teach

St. Francis student respects others

St. Francis Catholic School second grade teacher Dee Pohle said student Alyssa Goerdt stands out in academics and in her consideration for others.

Goerdt, 7, is described as being kind and thoughtful.

"She's considerate of others and respectful of her peers," Pohle said. "I enjoy teaching her."

Pohle said Goerdt is exceptional in reading and math and serves as a good role model.

"She's a very good example for the students," Pohle said.

When she's not in school, Alyssa likes to spend time with her 2-year-old brother Seth and the rest of her family.
