Pauline L. "Polly" (Boswell) Cox, 99, of Ottumwa, IA, formerly of Conrad, IA, Marshalltown, IA and Cherokee Village, AK passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Vista Woods Care Center, in Ottumwa. As per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial and inurnment services will be held in Green Mountain Cemetery, in Green Mountain, IA at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties, 927 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa, IA 52501. The State St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Pauline was born October 30, 1913 in Green Mountain, IA to Robert and Nellie Boswell. She was united in marriage to Ronald Cox in 1948. He preceded her in death. Polly was a hair dresser in Marshalltown and later she and Ronald owned and operated Cox Brothers Interiors, in Ottumwa.
She will be missed by her step-daughters, Marilyn Cremer and Annette (Dan "Bud") Coulter; eight step-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren and several step-great-great-grandchildren.
