ST. LOUIS - Northern Iowa placekicker Tyler Sievertsen has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced Sunday.

Sievertsen converted a career-high four field goals during the Panthers' 26-7 win over Northern Colorado on Saturday. The senior Cedar Rapids Kennedy graduate was successful from 28, 25, 21 and 27 yards, going 4-for-4 on field goals while making both point-after kicks as well.

UNI linebacker Jake Farley was named the College Sports Madness MVFC Defensive Player of the Week as well, this his second such honor of the season.

Farley had a season-high 13 tackles against Northern Colorado, his third straight game this season with double-digit stops.

Northern Iowa is back at home this Saturday, hosting McNeese State for a 4 p.m. game at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
