Thursday

James Kenneth Woods, 506 Jerome St., made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. A scheduling hearing is set for 1 p.m. Friday to schedule a probation revocation hearing in District Associate Court. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. If bond is met, Woods is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office upon release to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

Robert James Gutierrez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. A scheduling hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Friday to schedule a probation revocation hearing in District Associate Court. Gutierrez was released on his own recognizance.

Darrell D. Glass, 303 1/2 S. Fourth Ave., made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 29 in Magistrate Court. Glass was released on his own recognizance.

Tonyika Shantel Lewis, 303 1/2 S. Fourth Ave. Apt. #3, made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 29 in Magistrate Court. Lewis was released on her own recognizance.

Eric Ramone Lasley, 505 N. Fifth St., made an initial appearance on a warrant charging him with aggravated domestic assault. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 7. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. If bond is met, Lasley is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation following release to sign a pre-trial agreement. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Arrests

On Wednesday, Eric Ramone Lasley, 505 N. Fifth St., was arrested for domestic assault with intent or display weapon.

On Tuesday, Mandell Clark, of Fort Dodge, was arrested for two counts of assault on a jailer.

On Tuesday, Ricky Lee Smith, of Southaven, Miss., was arrested for failure to appear for a contempt hearing.

Accidents

On Sept. 8, a vehicle driven by Olga Andrade-Garcia, 206 S. 16th Ave., was eastbound on Highway 30 when a driver's side tire exploded causing it to strike the shoulder of the roadway, cut across traffic and enter the median ditch where it rolled and landed upright on its tires. Passenger, Jose Rafael Andrade-Garcia, of Osceola, was transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with possible injuries. Damage to the Andrade-Garcia vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

Incidents

On Tuesday, James R. Lewis, 811 Bromley St., reported the theft of an HP Deskjet 1000 color printer, a Coleman six-man tent and a Huffy 18 speed men's bicycle from 712 S. Center St. The HP printer was recovered. Estimated value of loss was $450.

Marshalltown Fire Department

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four fire calls to: 1008 S. Sixth St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 1008 S. Sixth St., and South 12th Avenue.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two rescue calls to 1600 S. Third Ave., and 13 S. Center St., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1308 E. Madison St., 1702 S. Seventh Ave., 1509 Marion St., 407 Melody Lane, 907 May St., and 112 College Drive.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call to 112 College Drive, and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 207 N. Fourth Ave., and 910 E. Olive St.
