Richard “Dick” Manning Grimes, 72

In loving memory of Richard "Dick" Manning Grimes, 72, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on September 27, 2013. Dick was born on October 6, 1940 in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from University of Missouri with his graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. He raised his family in Marshalltown, IA, and served as the Executive Director for the Mental Health Center of Mid-Iowa. Dick moved to Scottsdale where he enjoyed dancing, golfing, and socializing with friends, participating in 2 dining out groups. Dick's list of friends and colleagues grew through his involvement with the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Moila Shriners of St. Joseph, Monday Night Traders group, the Board for McCormack Ranch Homeowners Association (Vice President), and the real estate community in Scottsdale. He will be greatly missed by all who have been blessed by knowing him.

Dick is survived by his wife, Jeanene, of 50 years; daughter Renee and Denny, daughter Jan and Don, daughter Jennifer and Sam, daughter Jodi, sisters Penny and Dee, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He had a passion for his beloved dog, Gigi, who preceded him in death.

Services will be held on Friday, October 4 from 3-4 pm at Messenger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Road.
