Thursday

David M. Pyle, 1920C Taylor Ave., made an initial appearance through counsel, Ted Hoglan, on a sex offender registry violation charge. He was released on his own recognizance to await his next court appearance.

Jose Enrique Morales, 604 W. Church St., made an initial appearance on a material witness charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. He is being held without bond pending the service of a subpoena.

Levi Judd Baker, 703 S. Ninth Ave., made an initial appearance on a violation of no-contact order charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 in Magistrate Court. He will act as his own counsel. Baker was released on his own recognizance.

Incidents

On Tuesday, Lucas Baedke, 710 May St., reported the theft of a Trek 1100 Road bicycle, a Shimano 105 component set, a Bontrager RXL wheel set, a Shimano Dura Ace Spd SL pedal set, a San Marcos saddle, a Bontrager Trip 1 cyclometer, a Bontrager R3 tire set, a Bontrager handle bar, a Trek multi-tool, a Trek expandable saddle bag, a CO2 pump and a set of bicycle tubes out of a 1990 Toyota pickup while parked at 104 W. State St. Estimated value of loss was $2,796.96.

On Tuesday, Maschelle Joan Duff, 703 S. 12th Ave. Apt. #6, reported the theft of coins, silver certificates, $10 blue certificates, a diamond baguette bracelet, a round diamond bracelet and a black opal bracelet. Estimated value of loss was $6,000.

On Tuesday, Anthony Robert Bruns, 401 N. 14th Ave., reported the theft of a Toshiba laptop computer from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $450.

On Saturday, a person associated with Larry's Towing, 812 N. Fourth Ave., reported the theft of various scrap metals for recycling. Estimated value of loss was $100.

Citations

On Monday, Gerald Dean Jamell, 413 N. 15th Ave., was cited for operating while intoxicated-first offense.

Arrests

On Monday, Jana Marie Perry, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense (refusal).

On Wednesday, Michael Eugene Propp, 203 W. Linn St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Wednesday, Jose Angel Salvador, address unknown, was arrested for public intoxication and trespass.

Accidents

On Tuesday, a car driven by Matthew Donald Hoven, 2311 S. Fifth Ave., was traveling on East Southridge Road when a deer jumped onto the top of the Hoven car damaging the windshield, roof and driver's side door. Hoven was injured, but not transported from the scene. Damage to the Hoven car was estimated at $10,000.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gas leak at 2003 Bailey Drive, a motor vehicle-pedestrian accident at 1600 S. Center St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 119 E. State St., 503 Woodland St., 214 W. Meadow Lane, 504 W. Iowa Ave., and 2401 S. Second St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a detector activation- no fire-unintentional at 112 College Drive, and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 122 W. Main St., 211 W. Church St., 408 N. First St., 122 W. Main St., 312 E. Main St., 1602 S. Second St., 207 1/2 W. Church St., and 532 N. First St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a system malfunction at 207 E. Main St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 919 S. 12th Ave., 303 S. Third Ave., 1601 Marion St., 1305 W. Olive St.

Sunday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an electrical wiring-equipment problem at 1700 S. 12th Ave., an extrication of victims from vehicle at 2013 Wallace Ave., a natural vegetation fire in the 2000 block of North Center Street, and nine medical assists with the EMS crew to: 404 W. Linn St., 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd., 3202 S. 12th St., 415 N. Third St., 308 1/2 E. Boone St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 405 W. Olive St., 914 Finkle Ave., and South 18th Avenue.

Saturday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 202 N. 19th St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2907 S. Sixth St., and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1734 Country Club Lane, 428 Swayze St., 612 E. State St., 802 E. Main St., 303 Rainbow Drive, 1706 S. Seventh Ave., 1211 W. State St., and 203 W. Linn St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a good intent call to 20 W. Main St., an extrication of victims from vehicle on South 18th Avenue and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 122 W. Main St., 811 S. Sixth St., 806 W. Nevada St., 312 E. Main St., and 412 S. Third St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a false alarm or call to 30 E. Main St., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1500 Lincoln Tower, 1602 S. Second Ave., 122
