Marshalltown High School chemistry classes honored Mole Day Wednesday by making moles out of aluminum. Pictured are juniors Yelitza Patricio, left, and Hannah Stone. Mole is a measurement used in chemistry. The number of particles in one mole of a substance is 6.02 x 10 to the 23rd power, which is why this day is recognized on 10/23.
“They are having a lot of fun with it,” said MHS teacher Theresa Theis.
