Jack D. Mull 81, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 also at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Jack D. Mull was born on January 28, 1932, in Marshalltown, Iowa; he was the son of John and Gladys (Rokes) Mull, and he attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District. Jack served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952. On February 28, 1952, Jack was united in marriage to Pearl Nielson at the Friends Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Jack had worked at Lennox Industries and then at Swift retiring after 30 years. He had been a member of DAV. Jack enjoyed 3 things in life; fishing, ice fishing and gardening. He also loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Pearl, of Marshalltown, Iowa. Sons: Rick (Deb ) Mull Sr., David(Sheryl) Mull Sr. of Steamboat Rock, Iowa Grandchildren: Chad ( Lisa) Mull, Toney (Steph) Becker, Jennifer(Rusty) Mason, Julie (Freddie) Carbajol, Timmy(Julie) Mull, Johnny (Emily) Mull, Ricky (Angie) Mull, David(Jenn) Mull Jr.,Danny Mull, Step-grandchildren, Vickie Hughes, Beth( Evan) Rodamaker, Brother, Bob(Bev) Mull of Oregon and many nieces and nephews.

In death Jack rejoins his parents, John and Gladys, sons, Mike and John, Siblings, Ralph, Claude, Wayne, Morris and Myrna (Bob) Taft, and granddaughter, Echo Mull.

The family wishes to send their gratitude out to the Iowa City VA Hospital and staff for their wonderful care.
