IOWA FALLS Kassidy Bunger tallied 19 points, six rebounds and four steals as the South Hardin girls' basketball team opened the season with a 46-32 road victory over Iowa Falls-Alden Monday.
The Tigers (1-0) outscored the Cadets 18-4 in the third quarter to stretch a 22-16 halftime lead.
Hayley Lawrence added nine points, five rebounds and three steals off the bench, while Kayla Prosser pulled down six boards. Claire Damon, Sarah Boomgarden, Lydia Rose and Kayla Anderson each scored four points, while Prosser chipped in two.
Amber Heubner added three steals as the Tigers had 13 overall. Boomgarden had four assists.
No stats were available for Iowa Falls-Alden.
South Hardin returns home to host GMG (0-1) tonight for a varsity-only contest at 6:15 p.m.
