Marshalltown Police Department

Incidents

On Wednesday, Odilia Hernandez, 8 S. Sixth Ave., reported the theft of an air conditioner unit from the residence. Estimated value of loss was $1,000.

On Thursday, an employee with Dollar Tree, 101 W. Iowa Ave. #300, reported the theft of a safe and contents. Estimated value of loss was $1,500.

On Thursday, an employee with Kum & Go, 613 N. Third Ave., reported the theft of $700 through stolen Western Union checks.

On Tuesday, Bonnie Weber, 510 E. Main St., reported the theft of a Vizio 50 inch flatscreen TV from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $500.

Citations

On Tuesday, Robert Daniel Needs, of Albion, was cited for operating while intoxicated-second offense.

On Nov. 14, Suzanne Marie Singh, 105 N. Center St. Apt. #8, was cited for theft-third degree.

On Nov. 1, Rylie Jordan Underhill, 507 Bel Air Drive, was cited for theft-third degree for writing a check with insufficient funds and not making it good after being served a 10-day notice.

Arrests

On Tuesday, Jacob Catherwood, of Garwin, was arrested for driving while barred.

On Tuesday, Matthew Andrew McCanna, 709 Bromley St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Thursday, Daniel Sanchez-Vasquez, 301 Plaza Heights Road, was arrested for child endangerment without injury and serious domestic assault.

On Thursday, Michael Dale Corwin, 10 1/2 W. Grant St., was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-third offense.

On Thursday, Shaun Owen Kudelka, 8 W. Webster St., was arrested for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance-Alprazolam.

On Thursday, Chris John Young, 301 S. Fourth Ave. Apt. #6, was arrested for public intoxication, open container prohibited on public ways and simple assault.

Accidents

On Wednesday, a vehicle driven by Randy Jr. Rosenbalm, 1601 Marion St. Apt. 1A, was exiting a parking spot at the BP Station, 1700 E. Iowa Ave., when it broad-sided a legally parked car and then left the scene. No injuries were reported. Rosenbalm was cited for no insurance-accident and striking an unattended vehicle. Damage to the Rosenbalm vehicle was estimated at $2,000 while the legally parked car received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an extrication of victims from vehicle on South Center Street and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 705 E. South St., 2405 S. Center St., 402 N. 10th Ave., and 206 Nicholas Drive.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a combustible/flammable liquid condition at 1203 Fremont St., an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 2001 S. Fourth St., a carbon monoxide incident at 2371 Marshalltown Blvd., a building fire at 713 Union St., and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 709 Bromley St., and 1211 W. State St.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 609 E. Main St., and nine medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1306 W. Linn St., 542 N. Third St., 306 Nicholas Drive, 1702 S. 12th Ave., 810 S. Third Ave., 105 N. Center St., 17 N. 11th Ave., 206 E. State St., and 1211 W. State St.

Dec. 1

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a building fire at 713 Union St., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1108 W. Iowa Ave., 906 N. Fifth Ave., 212 Marion St., 403 Union St., 2003 Woodview Drive, 7 W. High St., and on Lincoln Street.

Nov. 30

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unintentional transmission of alarm at 1211 W. State St., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 11 W. Grant St., 1211 W. State St., 402 Thomas Drive, 303 S. First St., and 514 Brentwood Road.

Nov. 29

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an extrication of victims from vehicle at 2500 160th St., and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 3301 Lily Lane, and 1706 S. Seventh Ave.

Nov. 28

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a system malfunction at 1301 Summit St., a dispatched/cancelled en route on East Main Street and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 2104 W. State St., and 1211 W. State St.
