LISCOMB - Firefighters thwarted the spread of a fire in Liscomb that destroyed a garage early Wednesday morning.
The Liscomb and Albion firefighters were called to 207 Clinton St. at about 2:30 a.m. when the garage went up in flames.
Capt. Dustin Brown, of the Liscomb Fire Department, said 11 firefighters were on scene for about two hours. None of the four occupants inside the home were injured.
The garage at 207 Clinton St. in Liscomb was left totaled from a fire Wednesday morning. No occupants of the home were injured and the fire is speculated to have been caused by heating lamps in the garage.
Brown said he speculates the fire might have been caused by heating lamps in the garage for the dogs. The two dogs were uninjured and removed safely from the garage before the fire grew.
In addition to the totaled garage, two nearby homes had melted siding.
