Woman stabs boyfriend with steak knife

A local woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a steak knife has been arrested.

Stephanie N. Ward, 30, was arrested Tuesday at her and her boyfriend's home on the 1400 block of South Fifth Street.

According to police, Ward was arguing with her boyfriend about their house being messy. The argument then moved into the kitchen where the alleged assault took place.

The victim was wearing a heavy winter coat and received a small cut on his arm that did not require hospitalization.

Ward is charged with aggravated domestic assault.

On Saturday, a Marshalltown citizen reported damage to the computer screen on a Red Box dispenser located in front of McDonald's, 3402 S. Center St. Estimated value of damage was $700.

Arrests

On Tuesday, William Stuart Wolgamott, 209 N. Second St., was arrested for prohibited acts, theft-third degree and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana.

On Tuesday, Robert Lynn Wallace, 103 Riverside Drive, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, Ivan Carrillo Robles, 209 N. Second St., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

On Tuesday, Stephanie Nicole Ward AKA Prusha, 1404 S. Sixth St., was arrested for aggravated domestic assault.

On Wednesday, Jamison Wyatt, 204 W. Church St. Apt. #2, was arrested for credit card fraud and theft.

Accidents

On Tuesday, a minivan driven by Anna Marie Miller, 211 S. 17th Ave., was westbound in the 1300 block of East Olive Street when the mirror on the van struck pedestrian Jeffrey Allen Clark, 1401 S. 17th Ave., which was walking west on East Olive Street. Clark was possibly injured, but not transported. Damage to the Miller minivan was estimated at $300.

Citations

On Tuesday, Richard Eugene Casali, 204 W. Nevada St., was cited for harassment-third degree.

Thursday

Lori Jean Kirschbaum, 108 N. 15th St., made an initial appearance on a leaving the scene of a property damage accident charge and a no insurance charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges. On the leaving the scene charge the fine was $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The fine on the no insurance charge was $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $735. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Feb. 28 until the debt is paid in full.

Richard Allen Miller, 609 N. Second Ave., made an initial appearance on a failure to have a valid driver's license charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court. Miller will represent himself before the court. Miller was released on his own recognizance.

Ivan Carrillo-Robles, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of probation revocation requests. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety in the felony charge and $2,000 cash or surety in the other charge.

Travis Bunn, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court. The court appointed Jeffrey Hazen as counsel.

Timothy Todd Weese, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a probation revocation request. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11 a.m. on Feb. 26. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

Roxann Denise Romig, 211 W. Church St., House of Compassion, made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on March 4 in Magistrate Court. Romig was released on her own recognizance.

Marie Garcia Silvia, 112 W. Lincoln St., made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 17. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. The court ordered her to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Arrests

On Saturday, Billy Alfred Edwards Jr., of Newton, was arrested for contempt of court-refusal or failure to pay fines or costs.

On Jan. 22, Timothy Todd Weese, of Le Grand, was arrested for driving while revoked and operating while intoxicated-third offense.

Accidents

On Tuesday, a car driven by Soe Reh, 114 N. First Ave. Apt. #2, was westbound on Highway 96 approaching the intersection with Highway 14 when it went through the stop sign, entered Highway 14 into oncoming traffic and a collision occurred with a pickup driven by Audrey Kae Lynn Knott, of Liscomb, which was traveling south on Highway 14 and attempted to avoid contact. Knott and passengers Shaw Reh, 209 S. Fourth Ave. Apt. #2, Bae Reh, 114 N. First Ave. Apt. #2, and Joani Heh, 114 N. First Ave. Apt. #2, were all transported to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with possible injuries. Reh was cited for failure to yield at stop sign and failure to have insurance-accident related. Damage to the Reh car was estimated at $4,000 while the Knott pickup received an estimated $4,500 in damage.

On Monday, Jan. 27, a car driven by Anthony Jesus Ramirez, 404 E. State St., was northbound on Highway 330 during excessive winds which caused a piece of metal to brake free from the rear axle putting the car into a spin, resulting in it entering the south ditch and coming to rest on the driver's side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ramirez car was estimated at $3,000.

Thursday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1601 E. Nevada St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1315 W. Main St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 203 S. Third Ave., 2510 S. Sixth St., 2206 S. Center St., and 406 S. Ninth St.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 211 Harmony Drive, and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1200 E. Olive St., 504 N. Second Ave., and 106 S. Eighth St.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 110 College Drive, a good intent call to 812 W. Boone St., a smoke scare in the 100 block of East Madison Street, an extrication of victims on North Sanford Avenue and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 908 W. Nevada St., and 112 N. 13th Ave.
