Mike Tupper, Marshalltown police chief, recognizes Todd Frye, reserve peace officer, Monday night at the city council meeting, for completing reserve officer training.
“It takes a special type of person to volunteer their time in public safety,” Tupper said. “He’s got enough dedication towards this community and feels so strong about public safety in the community, that he’s decided to volunteer his time and effort in helping the community and the police department.”
In Tupper’s 2.5 years as Marshalltown police chief, he said Frye is the first one to finish the training. “He has just done a marvelous job going through the reserve officer training and putting in so much time and effort to make sure that this happens,” Tupper said.
Frye said he is honored to serve the community.
