One man was hospitalized and another arrested following a stabbing in Marshalltown Tuesday night.
Capt. Brian Batterson with the Marshalltown Police Department, said officers were dispatched to 304 N. 3rd Ave. for a possible stabbing at 11:15 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found a man with non-life threatening injuries and the victim was transported to the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center for treatment.
Tut Moang, 42, of Marshalltown, was arrested for going armed with intent, a Class D Felony. Moang was transported to the Marshall County Jail to await his initial court appearance.
Michael A. Jones, 26, of Marshalltown, was also arrested during the investigation for interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor. Jones attempted to block officer's access to the victim in this case, Batterson said.
The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
