Black Dirt Days is expected to get started with a high-energy, family-friendly act Friday night in Conrad.
Dueling Pianos starring Andy Anderson and Mike Leeds return to the festival and will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday. The duo hail from Huxley and promise an entertaining and interactive show.
"We believe we are not successful entertainers until our audience is part of the show," Leeds said.
The Dueling Pianos show of Andy Anderson, left, and Mike Leeds will perform a free show from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday in Conrad as part of Black Dirt Days.
Angie Martin, chair of the festival, said the duo has provided loads of fun at two previous Black Dirt Days.
"They are so much fun for everyone and they get everyone dancing and singing," Martin said.

While Friday night is a big night, the festival really gets going on Saturday and includes the 11:30 a.m. parade.
Grand marshal of the parade this year will be Blaine Fuller, who actually won't be in attendance at the parade as he heads off to the Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey.
"We are going to have a car decorated with his medals and celebrate him," Martin said. "Everyone loves Blaine and he's a good kid."
This year's parade will also include Little Mr. and Ms. Black Dirt Days, who are River Woosley and Allison Ward.
The parade will feature the sword fighting and living history group Brotherhood of Steel, which will also perform a demonstration at 12:30 p.m. following the parade.
The truck and tractor pull will be held Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. and running through mid-day.
There will be games and activities throughout the afternoon Saturday in downtown Conrad.
Martin said this year's festival theme is "Rockin' Renovation" and it will be an opportunity for visitors to see the recent facade improvements on Main Street in Conrad.
"We are kind of celebrating the downtown renovation and we thought that was a great theme," Martin said.
The local band Loose Neutral will perform in a street dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday night.
