Marquart Concrete Products changes name
Marquart Concrete Products, LLC legally changed its name to Midland Concrete Products, LLC June 1. The name change was made to reflect the expanding market area served by the growing Marquart Concrete Products and the recently acquired Croell Concrete Products.
Of the name change, James Sauter, President of the new company said, "In the beginning, Marquart primarily served the Marshalltown, Waterloo and Clear Lake, Iowa areas. When we acquired Croell, we gained two new locations, one in Waterloo and the other in Hiawatha. So, we truly are serving all of Mid-Iowa. And, the new company name, Midland Concrete Products, came from that fact."
Midland will continue to operate out of former Marquart and Croell locations with expanded product lines and services.
"The merger of the two companies provides a new and unparalleled flexibility for contractors who wish to expand their service area and customer base throughout the Mid-Iowa region," Sauter said.
The headquarters of the new company will be in Cedar Rapids.
