Agriculture Day at the Central Iowa Fair was a hit with many different youth groups coming to the fair to see what the numerous agriculture vendors had to offer.
Youth groups that came out to see the fair included a group from the Y, a group from Parks and Recreation, a group from the Sunshine Preschool as well as a couple groups from Roger's University. Area agriculture vendors included JBS who handed out pork chops on a stick, Iowa State University Pork Research Lab, Pork Producers, Iowa Cattlemen Association, FS-New Century, Farm Credit Services, Mid-west Dairy Association, Iowa Soybean Association, Corn Growers Association, Marshall County Farm Bureau, Marshall County Conservation and Marshall County 4-H Youth Council.
Children were also able to tour the livestock barns and play some minute-to-win it games as well as meet Bill Northey, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Dean Fisher, Iowa State Representative and Deane Adams, Marshall County Supervisor.
