This photo taken by Molly Long is one of four award winners by the Marshalltown photographer to be on display during an international exhibition next February in Nashville.
"It's kind of like the Super Bowl or World Series for photography competitions," Long said. "It feels really good to be honored with that."
She said this was the first time she submitted photos for this contest and all four were approved for the exhibit.
"They had all the ingredients the judges were looking for," Long said.
Two of the four images have been selected to be published in the showcase book at the competition. Long is unsure if her schedule will allow her to attend the convention in Tennessee as she is a busy mom with her own studio.
As far as her work locally, she loves being able to meet new people and express herself through her job on a daily basis.
"Being able to be creative every day is definitely a bonus for the job," she said.
Long is a native of Waterloo and has had her own photography business in Marshalltown for four years
