CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — A Cedar Rapids bar that was submerged in the floods of 2008 is having more water problems.
Officials say a water pipe leading into the Piano Lounge burst over the weekend, sending gallons and gallons of water in the popular downtown bar.
A maintenance worker discovered the problem Sunday afternoon. Bartenders and other staff rushed to pump the water out. City workers finally arrived and shut off the water to the building.
Crews on Monday were to rip up a street to reach the water pipe. The bar expects to reopen by the middle of the week.
