Preps selling Booster Club memberships

Marshalltown High School student-athletes will be out and about this week selling Bobcat Booster Club memberships.

The Bobcat Athletic Booster Club is an independent organization not affiliated with MHS but promotes and supports Marshalltown High School athletics. Current activities include pep buses, new team uniforms, laundry service and Senior Night recognition in all sports.

Hole-in-one drops at Elmwood

Gill Hartliep scored a hole-in-one at Elmwood Country Club on Wednesday, acing the 140-yard par-3 third hole.

Hartliep’s shot was witnessed by Carl Lester, Mike Miriovsky and Mark Macke.

Claybird shoot at Izaak Walton League

The Marshall County Izaak Walton League is hosting a Sporting Claybird Shoot on Sunday.

Teams and individuals are welcome and the $35 fee includes 10 stations and 100 birds. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the proceeds will support Iowa River Hospice programming.
