Helping Hands 3-on-3 tourney nears

The 31st annual Helping Hands 3-on-3 tournament is right around the corner. The tournament will be played in boys and girls divisions with 12 different subdivisions in each boys and girls category.

The tournament will take place March 19 beginning at 8 a.m. at the old South Hardin Middle School Gym in Hubbard. Grades 2-4, 5-6 and 7-8 will play their separate division games starting at 8 a.m. Grades 9-10 and 11-12 will begin at 4 p.m.

Post-high school division games will begin at 6:36 p.m.

There will be a limit of just three people per team. No substitutions will be allowed. Winners will receive a trophy and T-shirts for first place on the championship side of the bracket. Second and third places will receive medals and fourth place will get ribbons.

For the consolation bracket, the top team on the back side will earn medals, and places second through fourth will earn ribbons.

The entry fee for each team is $39, or $13 per person. Any checks can be made payable to “HELPING HANDS 3 on 3.” Entry deadline is March 18 or when divisions fill up with the maximum number of teams.
