No. 6 Indian Hills sweeps MCC in league volleyball

The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team dropped its final regular season Iowa Community College Athletic Conference contest of the year, falling at home to No. 6 Indian Hills in straight sets, 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.

The Tigers held early leads in each of the first two sets, but the Warriors (30-3, 3-1) proved to be too much on both sides of the ball for MCC (11-18, 0-4).

Sophomore Jordan Carter led all MCC attackers with seven kills on 23 attempts. Freshman Sara Bisbe added six kills and eight digs, and DaNesha Cowley posted four kills.

MCC finishes its four-game homestand Thursday night with a 7:30 p.m. match against the William Penn junior varsity. The Tigers won the previous matchup with William Penn 3-0 on Oct. 13 in Oskaloosa.
