Brase transferring Princeton to ISU
AMES — Princeton graduate transfer Hans Brase has chosen to finish out his eligibility at Iowa State, men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm announced Monday.
Brase, a 6-foot-9 forward from Clover, S.C, played just five games in 2014-15 before suffering knee injuries. In his career, he averaged 9.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He’s made 100-career 3-pointers and shoots 35 percent from behind the arc.
“I am really excited to add Hans to our program,” Prohm said. “He comes from a program I have great respect for and he’ll add experience, maturity and high skill level to our team. His ability to think the game, to play the way we want to play and to space the floor will make him a valuable addition.”
Brase has played in Germany on the U-20 and second national teams. He is immediately eligible to play for the Cyclones when he gets to Ames.
