Uthoff signed by Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS — Former University of Iowa all-Big Ten basketball player Jarrod Uthoff has been signed to the practice squad of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-7 Uthoff was undrafted out of Iowa in 2016 after earning second-team All-American honors. Last season he played 11 games with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G-League and nine games with the Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 17.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.6 blocks per game with the Mad Ants and 4.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with the Mavericks.

The former Iowa Mr. Basketball graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson and attended the University of Wisconsin before transferring to Iowa for the last three years of his collegiate career.
