Hook hits milestone in Panther volleyball win
CEDAR FALLS — Northern Iowa senior setter Heather Hook became the program’s sixth player to surpass 4,000 career assists during UNI’s 3-0 sweep of Indiana State on Saturday at the McLeod Center.
Hook, a redshirt senior from Grundy Center, had 37 assists, nine digs and six kills in the Panthers’ 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 sweep of the Sycamores in UNI’s final regular season home game.
Hook set the sophomore record for assists (1,417) in her first year as UNI’s starting setter, and she led the Missouri Valley Conference in assists last season (1,341).
Northern Iowa (23-6, 13-2) closes out its regular season with three-straight road matches, visiting Missouri State and Southern Illinois this weekend before a finale on Nov. 18 at Drake.
