Cyclones fall in final seconds to Vandy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Iowa State dropped a nail-biter to Vanderbilt, 77-74, Saturday afternoon in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Junior Bridget Carleton was on for the Cyclones, pouring in 30 points, eight rebounds and three assists in loss. Madison Wise and Adriana Camber each also scored in the double digits with 14 and 11 points each.

Iowa State (3-4) had a five-point lead at halftime, but the Commodores (3-6) stormed back in the third quarter, outscoring the Cyclones 29-19.

Up next for Iowa State is a home match against Iowa, starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hilton Coliseum.
