Iowa State completes sweep of Texas Tech
AMES — The Iowa State women’s basketball team got its third win in four games with a 69-57 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday inside Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones (12-14, 6-9) picked up its first home victory of 2018 via a strong shooting effort as the Cyclones went 17-of-26 on two-pointers to help power the effort.
Individually, ISU was led by Bridget Carleton’s 25 points, her ninth 20-point output of the season. Joining her in the 20-point club was Emily Durr, who’s 20 points marked her fourth 20-point effort of the season.
The Red Raiders (7-19, 1-14) got out to an early 9-4 lead, which ISU was able to erase with an 11-0 run to pull ahead 15-9.
Texas Tech was led by Jada Terry with 18 points, while no other Red Raider finished in double figures.
Iowa State is at Oklahoma on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. tip in Norman, Okla., against the Sooners.
