Wolverines 4th at Spartan Golf Invite

GRUNDY CENTER — The GMG boys golf team placed fourth out of eight teams in Grundy Center’s Spartan Invite on Saturday at Town & Country Golf Club with a score of 199.

Wolverine senior Aaron Fleming tied for ninth individually with a 47. Fellow senior Kolton Gill followed with a 48 to tie for 14th, and both boys were named to the all-tournament team. Kamrin Chizek and Blaze Krull rounded out the GMG scoring by both shooting a 52, while Brayden Peterson came in with a 56 and Ryan Hunt a 57.

BCLUW was fifth in the team standings with a 202. Lane Stanley tied for sixth individually with a 46 and was named to the all-tournament team for the comets. Tristen Gallentine was next with a 50, followed by Ray Callaway with a 52, Tucker Wall with a 54, Kade Pekarek with a 59 and Mason Yantis with a 64.

North Tama was eighth with a team score of 215. Paden Ketter placed fifth individually with a 45 and was named to the all-tournament team. Following Ketter was Cory Isenhower with a 54, Jack Dostal with a 56, Michael Bell with a 60, Andrew Lidgett with a 62 and Aaron Snider with a 63.

Grundy Center won its home meet with a score of 176, as Spartan freshman Ashton Martens was the meet medalist with a 41.
