MHS bowlers also bowled a 1,065 total from their five bakers matches, the second-highest total this season, while the 2,934 pins knocked down is the second-highest match total for the Bobcats this year as well.

The girls’ bowling squad was led by Karlie Potter’s 336, as well as ShayeLyn Pickett’s 287, while the girls lost by just 28 pins, 2,063-2,037.

“Karlie continues to step up with consistent numbers,” said girls’ coach Andy Schwandt.

Pickett’s 173 first-round score is a season-best for her.

The Bobcats bounce right back and head to Des Moines, where they’ll face Des Moines Roosevelt at Air Lanes, scheduled to roll at 3 p.m.
