Gladbrook’s Joe Smith won his second event in a week in the Hardin County Putt Mossman Arena pitching 66.6 percent ringers to win The Classic horseshoe tournament.

Using six pins and five forfeits, the East Marshall wrestlers rolled to a 66-9 dual victory over the Tri-County Wildcats. Winners by pins were: Jon Wolken, Jeff Campbell, Eric Burchland, Greg Mumm, Matt Allen and Pat Lyle.

Marshalltown High School wrestler at 145 pounds Mike Harms came from a 9-6 deficit against his opponent to score a reversal and near pin in the waning seconds for an 11-9 victory which spurred on the Bobcats to a 25-21 win over Central Waterloo.

SEMCO crowned four wrestlers as individual champions as Ron Sutherland, 126 pounds, started off and Hal Runner, 167 pounds, Terry Morrison, 185 pounds and Jim Atcher, heavyweight, finished for the team title at the Gladbrook Wrestling Invitational.
