Robert H. and Marcia J. (Kothenbeutel) Thomas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown on June 12, 1964. They resided in Albion for many years before moving to Iowa City in 2006.

They are the parents of Kyle and Tami (Thomas) Krchak, of Iowa City, and Seth and Marci (Thomas) Denney, of Danville.

They have six grandchildren: Noah and Luke Krchak, of Iowa City, and Samuel, Isaiah, Josiah and Abigail Denney, of Danville.
