Dixie Wantz and Wayne Christensen of the Hartland-Albion area were married Aug. 6, 1954. They lived in the Marshalltown area until 1966 when they moved to Quincy, Ill. They returned to Marshalltown in 1972. Wayne spent his working career at Packaging Corporation of America and retired as general manager in 1997. The couple moved to Plano, Texas, in 1999.

They are the parents of Vicki Johnson, Lori Wuertz, Karen Roberts and Brenda Goodhart. The couple has 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
