Evelyn Thompson, of Marshalltown, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Nov. 14. She was born Evelyn Marie Muckler, the daughter of Irvin and Mary Ahrens Muckler, on Nov. 14, 1925. She and her husband, Thomas R. “Tommy” Thompson are long-time Marshalltown residents.

Evelyn has five children: Rick, of Marshalltown; Craig (Nancy), of Iowa City; Jann Thompson-Ryerson, deceased; Jill (Tony) Bussan, of Webster City, and Lori (Tracy) Wildman, of Marshalltown. The couple has 11 grandchildren: Amy (Dean) Schmidt; Kelly (Nate) Kaleta; Aaron Knight; Sean, Corey and Vanessa Thompson; Rachel and Joe Bussan; Dani Wical (Brandon Street); Megan (Chris) Greenwood; Kyle (Tahler) Wildman and 10 great-grandchildren: Andy, Tyler and Evie Schmidt; Emma and Annie Kaleta; Aubree, Grace and Lane Greenwood; Gwen Wical and Finley Street.
