Ken and Betsy (Antle) Buck, of Marshalltown, will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary on Jan. 24. They were married Jan. 24, 1981, in Peoria, Ill. They spent their first years of marriage serving on the mission field in Liberia, Africa, and returned to rural State Center in October 1983 to farm. They have two children: Jennifer Smith and her husband, Michael, in Rockford, Ill., and Tim Buck and his wife, Kristianne, in Marshalltown. Tim and Kristianne have two daughters, Evelynn and Lyla, who are much beloved granddaughters to Ken and Betsy.

After more than 30 years living on the family farm, Ken and Betsy moved to Marshalltown where they are active at their church (FBC Marshalltown), volunteer with various community organizations, play pickleball with friends and spend lots of time with their granddaughters. They celebrated their anniversary with a cruise to the Panama Canal.
