The Marshalltown Federation of Women’s Club Board will be sponsoring a Murder Mystery Dinner Event on June 24, at Binford House, 110 N. Second Ave., Marshalltown. This intriguing event will be at 5:30 p.m at the 1874 Victorian Binford House with instructions and clues given while the various courses of the meal are served. The fundraising event will be for 32 participants for $50 per person. The 32 people will be divided into four groups of eight seated at tables. Groups of eight can be reserved or 1, 2, 4 people can be assigned to a table. Call 641-753-5450 to make your reservation for an evening of food and fun. The funds raised will be used to repair the roof of the carriage house which is attached at the back of Binford House.

The board is responsible for the maintenance, protection and decor of Binford House. To make this possible, June 10 will be the first Binford Barn Sale, 8-11 a.m., the same hours of the Farmer’s Market just south of the house. Donated items are being accepted by calling 641-753-5450. Accepted items are kitchen utensils and dishes, decorative home items, working small appliances, luggage, pictures, linens, toys, games, small furniture, outdoor furniture. Items not accepted are books, encyclopedias, clothing, shoes, coats, televisions and fabric.

Binford House can be used for reserved social events of families such as birthday and anniversary celebrations and open houses, bridal and baby showers, and organization and business meetings with a meal. Call for meal menus and cost information 641-753-5450.
