Jon and Marilyn Mulder, of Marshalltown, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Melanie Elizabeth Mulder, to Michael David Whitteberry, son of Steve and Diane Whitteberry, of Jenison, Mich.

Melanie was a 2007 homeschool graduate and after attending Marshalltown Community College, she completed her degree in elementary education in 2010 at William Penn University; she also received her master’s in higher education administration from Georgia Southern University in 2012. While in school, Melanie spent her summers working at The Wilds Christian Camp in North Carolina, where she met Michael. Melanie currently resides in Grand Rapids, Mich. and is an administrative assistant at a local law firm.

The groom is a 2012 graduate of Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin and is employed as an accountant at Dolinka, VanNoord, and Company in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The couple plans to be married on May 31 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown.
