Tom and Cindy Mack, of Marshalltown, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Alex, to Rachel Gallaher, daughter of Bob and Linda Gallaher, of Nashville, Tenn.

Alex is a 2001 graduate of Marshalltown High School. He received his ADN degree from Colorado Mountain College in 2010 and his BSN degree from Colorado Mesa University in 2013. He is an RN on the Progressive Telemetry Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado.

Rachel is a 2001 graduate of McGavock High School in Nashville, Tenn. She earned a BA degree from Lipscomb University in 2005, a BSN degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008, and an MSN degree with an emphasis in Nursing Leadership from Jacksonville University in 2013. Rachel is employed as a Clinical Documentation Educator for the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System in Denver, Colo.

The couple will be married in Golden, Colo. on Sept. 27.
