Sara Elizabeth Jordan and Andrew Lee Heintz are announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding on Oct. 10 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in West Des Moines.

Jordan is a graduate of Guthrie Center High School, class of 2008, and the University of Iowa, class of 2012, with a bachelor of arts degree in American Studies and history.

Heintz is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School, class of 2003, and Kansas State University, class of 2007, with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and psychology.

Jordan is a published novelist, writer at Midwest Today magazine and features writer at the Times-Republican newspaper in Marshalltown.

Heintz is a political columnist, freelance writer and direct support professional at Lutheran Services in Iowa, also in Marshalltown.

Parents of the couple are Julie and Larry Jordan, of Panora, and Tom and Ellie Heintz, of Prairie Village, Kan.
