Alyssa Phillips and Caleb Hoeksema, along with their parents, Arlen and Luann Phillips and Jim and Donna Hoeksema, wish to announce their engagement and approaching wedding.

Alyssa is a 2011 Oskaloosa Senior High School graduate and a 2015 William Penn University graduate. She is employed at GuideOne Insurance in Des Moines.

Caleb is a 2010 Lynnville-Sully High School graduate and a 2015 William Penn University graduate. He is employed at Jeld-Wen in Grinnell.

Grandparents of the couple are Henry and Leona Van Arkel, Oskaloosa, and Wayne Phillips, of Norman, Okla., and the late Betty Phillips; Marvin and Doris Hoeksema, of Des Moines, and Marjorie Beane, of Le Grand, and the late Donald Beane.

Following a Sept. 12 wedding, the couple will reside in Altoona.
