Patrick and April Acton, of Gladbrook, are announcing the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Tara Danielle, to William Gregory, son of John and Barbara Gregory, all of Cedar Rapids.

Tara is a 2002 graduate of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School, a 2006 graduate of the University of Iowa, where she studied English and medieval studies, and a 2009 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing. She is a content specialist in English language arts at ACT in Iowa City.

Bill is a 1996 graduate of Marion High School and a 2002 graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems.

He is an IT systems administrator at ADM in Cedar Rapids.

The couple plans a Dec. 5 wedding in Iowa City.
