Peg Fulton, of Marshalltown, and Steve Fulton, of Whitten, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Courtney to Ron Benedict, son of Ron and Rita Benedict of Springfield, Pa.

Courtney is a 1996 graduate of Marshalltown High School, a 2000 graduate of University of Northern Iowa with her BS in health promotion and graduated in 2005 from the American University in Washington D.C. with her MS in health promotion management.

Ron is a 1996 graduate of Springfield High School in Pennsylvania, a 2000 graduate of the University of Maryland with his BS in engineering and psychology and in 2005 also received his MS in emergency health systems/public policy.

Both of them work for the International Association of Fire Fighters in Washington, D.C. and also have side businesses, Courtney’s health coaching and Ron’s grant writing.

An Oct. 16 wedding is planned at Bluemont Vineyard at Bluemont, Va. The couple resides in Arlington, Va.
