Samantha Beals and Spencer Swartz were married June 25, 2016, in an outdoor ceremony at Elmwood Country Club. Pastor Gregg Davison officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Jennifer Beals, of Marshalltown, and granddaughter of Phil and Elaine Mount, The Villages Florida. Samantha is a 2010 Marshalltown High School graduate and a 2015 graduate of Grand View University. Samantha is employed at Penn Elementary in North Liberty.

The groom is the son of Kevin and Kim Swartz, of Marshalltown. Spencer is a 2010 MHS graduate and a 2014 graduate of University of Iowa. Spencer is employed at ACT in Iowa City.

The matron of honor was Samantha Vance and maid of honor was Mackenzie Beals; bridesmaids were Brittany Appelgate, Beth Pedersen and Zoe Beals. Personal Attendants were Ashton Stoppelmoor and Hailee Beals, cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Kate Knudson, cousin of the groom.

The best men were Ryan and Austin Swartz. Groomsmen were Luke Appelgate, Jon Vance and Carson Beals. Serving as ushers were Dan Beals, Blake Pedersen and Christian Goodman. Emmett Swartz served as ring bearer along with Finn Swartz, the couples beloved dog.

The reception and dance were held at Elmwood Country Club, serving as host hostess were Ron and Billie Jean Snyder.

After a honeymoon to Missouri, the couple reside in North Liberty.
