New Personal Banker at United Bank & Trust

United Bank & Trust recently announced that Dawn Dierks has joined their staff as a Personal Banker.

Dierks has worked most recently for First National Bank in West Des Moines. Prior to her career in banking, she was employed with Walgreens for 23 years, managing the Johnston location for the past 14 years.

“Dawn’s experience in the retail industry made her an ideal candidate for the Personal Banker position. Her strong customer service and relationship skills will serve as a tremendous asset to the bank and to our customers” said Jennifer Hass, Senior Vice President.

“I really enjoyed working at United Bank & Trust’s affiliate bank, First National Bank, in Valley Junction. I enjoy working with people and getting to know them on a personal level. United Bank & Trust fits into what I want in an employer by being the employer of choice and exceeding customer expectations,” Dierks said.

Dierks, a native of State Center, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. She and her family will soon be returning to her hometown of State Center.

Area Paramedic Service receives Career Service of the Year Award

The Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association has awarded UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown Area Paramedic Service, the 2018 Career Service of the Year award. IEMSA leadership selected UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown based on providing 911 coverage and evacuation of the hospital the night of July 19 Marshalltown tornado. “UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown is honored to receive the 2018 Career Service of the Year Award. This is a very special recognition with regards to the exceptional care our team provides for members of the community.
