April 16
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two good intent calls to 1708 Edgebrook Drive, and 2800 Main Street Road, and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 418 N. 11th Ave., 2802 S. Center St., 1102 S. Third Ave., 201 N. Second Ave., 7 E. Ingledue, 703 S. 12th St., and 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd.
April 15
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 503 W. Main St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 407 N. Third Ave., an attempted burning, illegal action at 206 N. Fourth Ave., and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 426 Union St., 206 Nicholas Drive, two at 204 W. Nevada St., and 407 W. Church St.
April 14
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 432 Lee St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 408 W. High St., 306 Nicholas Drive, 211 W. Nevada St., and on South 12th Avenue.
April 13
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a rescue, EMS incident at 1100 E. State St., an outside rubbish fire at 704 Lee St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to North Highway 14 and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: two to 1702 Governor Road, 202 W. Main St., 405 N. Third Ave., and 2023 S. Fifth Ave.
April 12
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to: an outside rubbish fire at 108 N. Sixth St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 200 block of East Webster Street and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 103 W. North St., 1 W. Grant St., and 510 1/2 N. Third Ave.
April 11
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a medical assist with the EMS crew to 403 S. Second St.
April 10
• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation due to a malfunction at 303 Nicholas Drive, and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1602 S. Second Ave., 1704 S. Fifth St., and 204 Rainbow Drive.

• Anna Louise Ferneau made an initial appearance on a eluding charge, a driving under suspension charge and two counts of a failure to obey a stop sign charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 1. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.
• Refugio Santiago Arangure made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 10. Santiago Arangure is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days.
• Willie James Denton Jr., of Tama, made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 1. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. Upon release, Denton will have 60 days to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court.
• Elizabeth Loretta Briseno made an initial appearance on a no valid driver’s license charge, a speeding charge and a driving under suspension charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on May 12 in Magistrate Court.
