Tuesday

• Jessica Rae Stanton made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-causing bodily injury charge. Stanton will hire her own counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 7. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only. If she owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Stanton is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Cassandra J. Wall, of Union, made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on July 26. Wall is released on her promise to appear.

• Sierra A. Price made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Darrell Meyer will continue as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 2 p.m. on July 24. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Christine L. Alman made an initial appearance on three counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 2. Alman is released on her promise to appear.

• Kyle Howard Braddock made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a failure to use headlamps when required charge, an open container charge and a violation of a restricted license charge. A rocket docket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on July 28 in Magistrate Court. Braddock is released on his promise to appear.

• Tyler M. Pritchett made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine-third or subsequent offense charge and on a warrant charging him with probation violation. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing on the possession charge is at 1 p.m. on July 17. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 11 a.m. on July 26. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two outside rubbish fires at 107 E. Lincoln St., and 209 N. Eighth St., a natural vegetation fire in the 700 block of South Center Street, a dispatched/cancelled en route to 2300 Marshalltown Blvd., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 907 S. Center St., 520 N. Second St., West State Street and 514 E. Olive St.

Saturday

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 55 Central Iowa Drive, and 2506 Fremont St., and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 512 Brentwood Road, and 1104 W. Church St.

Friday

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a service call to South Center Street and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 514 N. Second Ave., 3010 S. Center St., 107 1/2 S. 12th St., 112 N. First St., and 200 S. 12th Ave.

Thursday

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an assist police or other governmental agency on North Third Avenue and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 1211 W. State St., and 2302 Edgebrook Drive.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 505 1/2 E. Linn St., 5 W. Lincoln St., 410 Melody Lane, 1107 S. First St., 203 Columbus Drive, 304 Melody Lane, and 618 Union St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 2305 New Salem Road, and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 11 W. Grant St., 519 N. Third St., 501 Belaire Drive, 1211 W. State St., 1314 Marshall Drive, and 1107 S. First St.

June 19

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a building fire at 308 E. Boone St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 811 S. Sixth St., 1308 W. Linn St., 703 Woodbury St., and 402 N. 10th Ave.

Incidents

• On Monday, there was a report of a motor vehicle being burglarized in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.

• On Monday, a citizen reported vandalism damage under $200 and the theft of items from a motor vehicle in the 200 block of South Sixth Street.

• On Monday, a motor vehicle was stolen in the 600 block of North Third Avenue valued at less than $10,000.

• On Sunday, a theft-fifth degree was reported in the 300 block of North 14th Avenue.

• On Friday, a citizen reported vandalism at the Senior Citizens Center, 20 E. State St., with a degree of damage ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

• On Friday, there was a report of fraudulent activity in the 300 block of Edgewood Street with losses ranging from $500 to under $1,000.

• On Friday, a person representing the City of Marshalltown reported vandalism to the Sixth Street viaduct with loss ranging from $500 to $1,000.

Accidents

• On Sunday, a car driven by William Thomas Burns, of Marshalltown, was in the 200 block of North Center Street when it pulled into a driveway believing it was his residence, went to back out and struck an unattended Ford Escape and then left attempting to drive to the correct address. No injuries were reported. Burns was cited for striking unattended vehicle, no insurance and operating while intoxicated-second offense. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,000 each.

• On Sunday, a person got out of a Pontiac Grand Am at 513 S. Fifth St., believing it to be in park and the Grand Am took off rolling down the street until it struck a Chevrolet S-10 pickup which was parked at 517 S. Fifth St., and then pushed it into the side of the building. No injuries were reported. Damage to the pickup were estimated at $500 while the Grand Am and the building at 517 S. Fifth St., each received damage estimated at $700.

• On Sunday, a car driven by Carol Ann Paxson, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Seventh Street stopped at the intersection with West State Street when it continued forward, unable to see if the way was clear due to two illegally parked vehicles, into the path of a car driven by Emily Sue Hall, of Marshalltown, resulting in a collision. Damage to the Paxson car was estimated at $5,000 while the Hall car received an estimated $4,000 in damage.

• On Friday, a car driven by Edwin Pardes, of Marshalltown, was northbound on South Center Street stopped at the intersection with Westwood Drive when it attempted to pull around a vehicle driven by Tamara Lynn Keith, of Marshalltown, colliding with it. No injuries were reported. Pardes was cited for failure to maintain control, no insurance and driving under suspension. Damage to the Pardes car was estimated at $2,000 while the Keith vehicle received an estimated $6,000 in damage.

• On Friday, a minivan driven by Cheryl Renee Kokichi, of Marshalltown, was westbound on East Church Street in the middle lane when it attempted to turn south sideswiping the front passenger corner of a car driven by Connie Sue Snider, of Marshalltown, which was in the far left lane traveling west. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,000 each.

• On June 14, a pickup driven by Zachary Scott Pappas, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on West Main Street when it swerved to miss a deer, left the road and struck a steel mail box and post causing damage to the entire left side of the truck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Pappas pickup was estimated at $10,000 while the mailbox received an estimated $25 in damage.
