Friday

• Molly Gummert made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 3 in Magistrate Court. Gummert is released on her promise to appear.

• Renee Nodland made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Aron Vaughn is appointed as counsel. A contempt hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 31 in Magistrate Court. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Dartangan Leonard made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 12. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days of release.

• Angela Doiron made an initial appearance on a sex offender registry violation-second or subsequent offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 10. Doiron is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services.

• Elizabeth Flowe, of Liscomb, made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sept. 12. Flowe is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Juan Gonzalez Cisneros made an initial appearance on a operating while under the influence-second offense charge, a no insurance charge, a driving under suspension charge, an open container charge and a driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 31. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. Upon release Gonzalez Cisneros will have 60 days to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court.

Incidents

• On Thursday, a theft valued between $1,000-$10,000 was reported in the 800 block of West Lincoln Way.

• On Thursday, a case of vandalism to property was reported in the 100 block of East Webster Street.

Arrests

• On Friday, Tanner Stanley, 20, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-second offense.

• On Thursday, Robert Clark, 51, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false identification information, interference with official acts and on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Cole Purdy, 18, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court.

• On Thursday, Richard Shogren, 32, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Steven Ralls, 32, was arrested for eluding, reckless driving, careless driving, driving under suspension, no valid driver’s license, failure to maintain reasonable speed and two counts of failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.

• On Thursday, Benito Hernandez, 19, was arrested for three counts of probation violation and two counts of sex offender registry-first offense violation.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an authorized burning at 808 E. State St., a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Bohen Street and Second Avenue and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 112 N. First St., 107 N. 12th St., 705 Roberts Terrace, 4 Marion St. and 210 S. Sixth St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 906 Prairie Lane, a dispatched/cancelled en route to South Center Street and South Street and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 404 N. First Ave., 1111 W. Main St., 915 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd. and 111 S. Third Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unintentional transmission of alarm at 212 W. Ingledue St., and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 404 W. Church St., 108 S. Seventh Ave., 312 S. Second St. and 2802 S. Center St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a heat detector activation due to a malfunction at 1002 S. Third Ave., a sprinkler activation due to malfunction at 11 E. Church St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1706 Governor Road and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 8 E. Olive St., 3 E. Grant St., 514 E. Olive St., 703 Woodbury St., 2 N. Second Ave. and 808 Patterson Lane.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 207 N. Second Ave., an unintentional transmission of alarm at 901 E. Olive St., and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 703 Woodbury St., 2110 Stratford Lane, 2605 S. Center St., 513 E. Olive St., 11 N. First Ave., 1104 E. State St., 707 E. Nevada St. and 1203 S. Seventh Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a sprinkler activation-no fire-unintentional at 811 E. Main St., a passenger vehicle fire at 3208 Merritt Road, two unauthorized burnings at 1802 S. Seventh Ave., and 412 Woodbury St., an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 909 S. 12th St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 401 Friendly Drive, 1509 Marion St., 301 N. 12th Ave., 4 Denmead Blvd., 708 S. Third Ave., 505 N. Fourth Ave. and 207 E. Olive St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 204 N. 21st St. and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 810 W. Lincoln Way, 204 N. Second St., 408 N. 17th St., 408 W. High St. and 533 N. Third St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 500 W. Church St., two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 22 N. Center St., and 55 Central Iowa Drive, a smoke detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 909 S. 12th St., a building fire at 102 N. 16th St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: Holiday Inn, 807 N.
